While new threats challenge the practice of prehospital trauma care and
jeopardize the lives of our patients, new solutions are being advanced to
help patients survive their trauma injuries. Issues to be discussed include:
• resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA)
• pediatric trauma
• controversies in hemorrhage control
• innovations in TBI assessment and management
• building resiliency to respond to trauma
• the role of prehospital care in national trauma systems, and more.
The program incorporates expert presentations, panel discussions, time for
participant questions, the latest trauma technology, and opportunities to
network with practitioners and physicians from around the world.
