APPENDIX 2 DiSC
The DiSC model describes four main styles. Everyone is a mixture of styles, but most people tend to fall into one or two main DiSC style
quadrants. 15,29
Dominant Factor Personality Style
D (Dominance) Bold and skeptical. Direct and decisive, blunt, demanding, suspicious, skeptical, outspoken. High self-confidence.
Are risk takers and problem solvers. Dominant, leader. Places emphasis on results and the big picture.
I (Influence) Bold and accepting. Open, confident, charming, enthusiastic, optimistic, talkative, persuasive, impulsive and
emotional. Places emphasis on influencing or persuading others.
S (Steadiness) Cautious and accepting. Even-tempered, friendly, sympathetic with others, and very generous with loved
ones, preferring close, personal relationships. Calm, deliberate. Places emphasis on cooperation, loyalty, and
dependability.
C (Conscientiousness) Cautious and skeptical. Relationships will normally be based on mutual interests or common aims, rather than
emotional considerations. Independent but needs reassurance from others. Precise, detail-oriented, very analytical
and systematic and makes decisions carefully with plenty of research and information to back it up. Fears being
wrong. Places emphasis on quality, accuracy, expertise, competency.
