vides training and consultation nationally and internationally
in the field of K9 tactical casualty care to military, law enforce-
ment, search and rescue, and tactical EMS communities. On
the civilian side, he serves as a civilian contractor to the 24th
Special Operations Wing, as the surgeon general veterinarian.
MAJ Dan Crowell has provided veterinary support to 20th
SFG(A) since 2013. He served as senior veterinary instructor
at JSOMTC for over 7 years. Dr Crowell deployed in support
to CJTF-HOA and has provided veterinary support to the Ma-
rine Mountain Warfare Center equine packing course. He has
over 25 years of experience in veterinary livestock production
medicine.
LTC Lisa Walker has deployed as a DoD veterinarian to both
OEF and CJTF-HOA and as a DoS contractor to the Mid-
dle East with the antiterrorism assistance program. Lisa has
an MS in public health, an extensive equine background, and
over a decade of experience as a small animal emergency clini-
cian. She serves as a diplomat with the US State Department.

pack animal demonstration. Dive and Dive Medical Technician (DMT) Refresher
This training is typically done on either the weekend prior
to or immediately after the NTM. It consists of training to
fulfill the requirements for DMT refresher and includes dives
for diver requalification and for the DMTs to provide medical
coverage as part of their DMT refresher requirements. Deep
dives of at least 70 feet are included so that the team divers
and the DMT can fulfill all their requirements.

MSG “K” is the 20th SFG(A) dive officer and has over 20
years of experience as a military diver and dive master. He
is in charge of the Group Dive Locker and the Group Dive
Program.

These courses were conducted at the Edward Via College of
Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) and were part of 20th SFG(A)
NTM held in collaboration with Auburn University and taught by
Auburn SMEs with guidance and direction from the 20th SFG(A)
SMEs in APR 2019. The AAR data were collected from the 22 SF
18D participants.
