Contraindications:
• Hypersensitivity
• Narrow angle glaucoma
Pregnancy Category C
Precautions:
• Pregnancy
• Cardiac disorders
• Hyperthyroidism
• Diabetes mellitus
• Prostatic hypertrophy
• Lactation
• Hypertension
Side-effects:
• CNS: Tremors, anxiety, insomnia, headache, dizziness, hallucinations, seizures
• CV: Palpitations, tachycardia, hypertension, chest pain, dysrhythmias
• EENT: Dry nose, irritation of nose and throat
• GI: Nausea, vomiting, anorexia, dry mouth SECTION 3
• GU: dysuria
Other notes:
• Do not use continuously, or more than recommended dose.
• Rebound congestion may occur.
• Avoid taking at bedtime, stimulation may occur.

Quinolones – General Antimicrobial Spectrum
Aviation personnel are grounded for the initial 24 hours of antibiotic therapy and
until the medical condition no longer interferes with safely performing aviation duties and
the patient is free of side-effects.
• 1 generation: Gram negative (excluding Pseudomonas), urinary tract only.
