                                                                 Col Stacy Shackelford, the Chief of the Joint Trauma System,
                                                                 presents Dr Butler with a bronzed tourniquet in recognition of
                                                                 his successful efforts to re-introduce tourniquet use into the US
                                                                 military. The inscription reads:
