Critical Incident Stress Debrief
• Disaster and rescue workers report 22% PTSD and 13% depression rates.
• Provide and participate in critical incident debriefs with mental health providers.
• If experiencing recurring symptoms related to the event, feeling sad/depressed, or have lost
interest in normally enjoyable activities, obtain a mental health consultation through the unit
